hi everyone, i just instaled a weaver base on my new benelli m2 to install a red dot but the screws are to long they block the action,its the right base was seal when i got it,anyone has a way or a place to fit or get new screw,am not young any more red dot help to find my targets,thanks.

Shorten the screws. Lock the head in a set of vice grips. Use a belt sander to shorten the screws. Or go find shorter screws.
yes i was thinking about grinding them was not sure if they would screw in after i will try i also ordered a kit with all diff screws Pachmayr® Master Gunsmith 202-PC Torx-Style 6-Lobe Ring & Base Screw its a good thing to have,thanks

After you grind them shorter round the edge lightly where the thread starts, then you won’t have any issues with them screwing in.
