red dot on an 870 supermag?

Can I mount a red dot on an 870 supermag? If so how? I don't have the gun yet so I'm not sure how that will work. I want to shoot yotes and turkeys so an aiming device should help. What options do I have for mounting and what sights are best?

Have a smith put a small section of picatinny rail on top of the receiver, then mount the red dot as per normal. Personally for convenience sake, I recommend quick detach mounts like the arms, but anything will work on the 1913 rail.

Or even better yet buy the Remington saddle mount and Bushnell Red dot I have for sale in the EE (better deal on both) and be done with it. I have the same set up on my 870 I used for turkey. The one for sale was an etc as I envisioned swapping a scope in and out with the red dot. You can take it on and off in about 5 minutes and not change the impact as it is a unit.

I find a UHU glue stick applied to the barrel will help the red dot stick quite nicely
