Anyone has info on Red Dot powder for 9MM Luger reloads? I saw a book listed the powder measure at Cabelas...however, i can not make a trip over there any time soon...So any info will be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I use a lot of Promo powder which is supposed to be the same as Red Dot. 4.2gr under a 92gr cast bullet. Google should be able to find you a load with Red Dot.

Red Dot is a fast, flake powder well suited to making accurate light to mid power 9mm loads.

The flake powder does not work well in some brands of powder measures. It can bind them up.

If you have not used a flake powder before, you might be safer with Win 231, which is a very good general purpose pistol powder.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume you are asking because no availability of your usual powder that you like to use?

I'm wanting to play with 9mm reloading for a buddy and I haven't had much luck finding small pistol primers and pistol powder.

Hard to get any powder now this days....picked up the last 2 lbs of Red Dot from local store...but no info on my Lee re loading book...I believe the Lyman book has the powder measure info(9mm luger) for Red Dot...
