Red Dot question

Good question?
I recently picked up a Primary Arms red dot and haven't had to change the battery yet but I don't think the zero has to be reset on a battery change.

If the optic stays in place, I don't see how the zero can possibly change when the battery is. Red dots effectively amount to little LEDs mounted inside the body of the optic. Do the cross hairs in an optical scope move when the windage and elevation dial caps are taken off?

They do not lose their zero. The zeroing of the optic you did is mechanical, not electronic. Well, at least the majority of them are... but I've been proven wrong before. :p
