Question about the Red Dot on my AR. I have a Vortex SPARC AR mounted on my AR and it comes with a little spacer with it for 1/3 co-witness with back up sights or use no spacer for absolute co-witness. At this time I have no back up sights, and just using the red dot alone. I have it mounted without the spacer but find I really have to sink my cheek in the stock to get a good sight through the optic. Putting the spacer in may help a little but is there something out there to bring up the optic for better line of sight?

Most of the Picatinny rail risers I've seen are usually 1/2 inch or taller, which may be too high. You could Email vortex and see if they'll sell you another spacer shim and you can get some longer screws from ebay or something.
Just took a quick look, and it uses the same mounts as the Aimpoint T1 series:
So you can just use an Aimpoint Micro spacer, or get something like the American Defense T1-l (Low) mount which is about 1/8" higher than the factory screw clamp mount!

Huh, I think that is backward?
Absolute co-witness is when the red dot sits on the front sight post.
Lower 1/3 co-witness places the red dot above the front sight post, the spacer should elevate the RD to achieve this. This set up is preferred by many as cheek weld is a bit higher.
