Hi all, so as with my.previous posts that ill be getting into cqb soon so im gearing up. i was looking for a scope today for my da556 and came across the millet trd red dot 1x30mm at al flaherty for 165 plus tax. its right in my price range as im looking for something below 200 dollars. anyone have any recommendations? or opinion over the millet red dot?

thanks so much!

Be really hard to beat the Bushnell TRS 25 at around $ 130 or so. Great reviews and works awesome. If you are planning on going to afghan or maybe ukraine you should maybe look for something mo industrial.

+1 for the trs-25. Im a believer now. I asked the same question however for my 10/22.
Question, being restricted what distance will you be shooting? IMO if youre only shooting 50 or less yds, why spend 400+ on aimpoint or accog. The trs-25 will do the same job at a fraction the cost. If you go with a trs-25, please shop around. Some come with a riser, some dont. Also price can be $40+ difference. In calgary there is a little gun shop near the zoo. I forget the name but the rds w/ riser out the door was $112 IIRC. Some shops are listing it at $150+ w/ riser.
Hical wants $160 + shipping/tax, crazy!

When it comes to optics / red dots you get what you pay for. My advice is to save a little bit and get something better. Vortex would be better for sure. I've had several issues with various Bushnell products when they were ran hard.. hence I no longer have any bushnell optics or rd's.

YMMV

hmm, lots of great recommendations and lots of good scopes. I'll drop by a store (maybe sail or target sports) to checkout these reticles, aftel all, if I learned anything about scopes/optics...it's that the same product can have LOTS of variability in quality etc.

Thanks!

Question, did you own a trs-25?

I have a trs 25 and it works fine.

Maybe I would buy a name brand if I had to leave for 3 years to war and had to have my red dot on all this time without changing the battery while fighting under rain and stuff, but really, to shoot at the range, it works. If the battery ever dies, guess what, I'll change it. 115$ shipped. You can buy an UTG riser to go with it. Doesnt need any on my keltec.

Hope the TRS25 holds up better on an AR. Lasted all of 11 rounds on my shotgun.... my sh*t luck with bushnell products continues.

I say spend the extra cash on a vortex product. You 'll be much better off.
