Red Dot Scope Color???

This may be and odd question, but can the color of a dot in a red dot pistol scope be changed?
I have had one of the Bushnell scopes in mothballs for years, but want to use it now. However, I am red/green colorblind, and have a hell of a time finding the dot in the tube.
Once I do I can see it to shoot one shot, then start the "finding process" over again for the second.

My question is. Can you get a new light installed so that you have a blue dot?
Or is there one available that I just haven't found yet?

Try a yellow lense filter.
It should give the illusion of an orange dot.

I don't think orange would help either as I am lacking on the red side. So any thing with red in it, like purple and orange just fade away. Blue, green and yellow show up very well.
