Hi All,

Anyone have any experience with this optic? I see the Holosun HS403A version seems to be the same with battery port on the bottom instead of side.

I've bought the Bushnell TRS-25 as a starter red dot for my STI tactical .223/.556 rifle and am enjoying it but I really want a better optic as per peer reviews. The HS403G + 1/3 Co-Witness Riser COMBO for $234 from canadaammo seems like a good deal? It's currently showing out of stock so I put it on my "wishlist".

SOOOO, 2 questions:

1.) Is the HS403G + 1/3 Co-Witness Riser COMBO a good option vs my Bushnell TRS-25? What are people's experiences?
2.) Does the Canadaammo.com wishlist feature notify you when the items are in stock? How long typically before items are replenished?

Thanks in advance everyone.

I have a 403C on my Valtro. It has stood up to 12g recoil without issue. Seems a little brighter than the TRS25 I had, but not a HUGE upgrade. That said, I think the only significant upgrade would be going to an Aimpoint or EoTech. In that case you're looking at a lot more $...

Reliable has the 403A with riser in stock for $189. IMHO the battery location isn't that big a deal as they last forever in this optic.

Hoplite Tactical is a business member of CGN and has the 403G in stock for $234.

Awesome thx for the info. I've seen some people say blue Loctite is necessary to prevent screw loosening? Is that really an issue with keeping zero?

Yup... Forgot to loctite my SPARC on my shorty AR and it fell off mid-match! The screws holding it to my mount came loose. Good thing my BUIS was cowitnessed... Finished the stage with my BUIS and then put my SPARC on with loctite from a friend. I was able to re-zero it using my BUIS.

Okay- so Loctite the exposed thread that connects the sight body to the AR riser? What about the AR riser to the vertical rails? I know if I Loctite that it won't come off but does it create an issue?
