red dot sights

anyone use these? parallax free and no need to worry about eye relief: sounds like a quick-target-aquisition unit.

was thinking about putting one on a 12ga. I've read some reviews on cabelas and whatnot and some can't hold a zero after a few shots due to recoil.

i'm only shooting max 150yds with slugs and ~50yds with shot. can i do this without any magnification (i haven't seen any with magnification) or would i be better off with a 1.5-6x "traditional" scope?

forgot to mention i usually hunt in pretty wet and/or cold conditions..can't have water beading up on the glass if that's an issue with these things?

I have a bushnell trophy on 2 revolvers, 629 and 686, love them, changeable reticle, no issues with recoil, great unit for under $100, just throw away the rings that come with them.

i peaked through one today which sat on a winchester sx3. my only concern would be shooting at long distances with this thing...i'd only be shooting 150yrds max, is that too far without any magnification? these scopes seem to have pretty narrow tubes so there is not a big sight pictture...hmm!

i found thy work very well on a shot gun for turkey hunting but did not have any luck using them with slugs very fast on target when turkey hunting would not go with out one DUTCH
