I was woundering what you guys are using for red dot sites on your M1As...... Im fixing to buy one soon and would like some info. Do I need to spend 200-400$ for a ecotech site or well the 100$ one work and handle the recoil?
 
I run a cheap red dot on my VZ58 in 7.62. I think it was less than $100 at bass pro. It works fine and holds zero, the only issue ive run into is that its very hard to see in the sunlight, in fact i take it off if the sun is really bright because the dot is invisible. My buddies eotech doesnt have that problem. You get what you pay for, im just glad it holds zero. Had it on my 12g too and it held zero on that as well.
 
holding zero was my main concern.. But the hole cant see the dot in sun light might be an issue.. thanks for the tip. Just woundering what was the name of yours
 
with optics you get what you pay for but you cant really go wrong with a bushnell trs25 or vortex sparc
 
Vortex Strikefire works just fine on mine. How are you planning on mounting it? I have mine mounted to a arms 18 via an adm low mount.
 
bushnell TRS 25 is the one I think ill go with theres a lot of good reviews on youtube and other sites. I would like to go with the more pricy ones but Im really limitied on my cash flow. thanks guys
