Looking for recommendations for a long eye relief red dot. my distance vision is ok but i require reading glasses. recently bought a chiappa model 92 with hi viz peep sights. My glasses keep the sights in focus but at 50 yards the target is pretty blurry. Are there red dots with low magnification? looking for a better sight picture? Any recommendations for Eye wear solutions also appreciated
Thanks

Research !! Yes there are 'dots' most of which are 1X. I'd say get a good one -ca. $200 + for your rifle, to deal with recoil. I have a $50 on my .22 but it prob would lose zero on a .357. Not going to try.

Lots and lots of options. We need more info from you though!

Can you mount an optic on your 1892 in a way that works for you? The top eject limits your options... But if yes, then:

What's your budget? Do you want full time magnification? Variable? Removable?

There are illuminated reticle scopes, and various types of unmagnified red dot sights (RDS) to which you could add a magnifier.

Just to clarify, I should have said that I have an "Open Reflex Red/Green Multi reticle" Dot scope. (Like this one - http s://www.amazon.ca/RioRand-Tactical-Reticle-Reflex-Weaver-Picatinny/dp/B01A8CY0WI/ref=sr_1_9?crid=30ZLN2YLKL64M&dchild=1&keywords=reflex+scope&qid=1635871751&sprefix=reflex+scope%2Caps%2C105&sr=8-9 ) that's under $50. This style is good for variable eye relief, with or without 'reading glasses' -I'm 71 and just use them if I want. You should be able to mount beyond ejection port and be OK. About 3-MOA dot and I use the Green with a 'Ring' around the dot, on my Savage 64-.22 semi-auto. The ring helps 'Quick-Acquisition" ! At 50 yds I can keep on 2-3" which is good for that size dot. At 25 it's a bit better but the size of the dot is it's limitation.
