Red Ryder Repair

Anyone have any experience taking these apart or fixing them.
Got one for my kid ( limited edition ) and it arrived NIB.
However nothing happens when I #### the lever. No resistience or usual "clicks". Called Bass Pro to get another one, but they have discontinued them. So long story short...
Got my money back and they let me keep the bb gun.
Anyone in the GTA or Scarborough that could have a look?
Or any suggestions where to get help.
I've got 3 weeks till his B-Day.

Check out Walmart. They carried it to when I looked last fall.

I'm not sure this gun can be dismantled or not. It's basicaly riveted together.

I saw one locally at a TSC (farm hardware store) store in Chatham, Ont.

Any tips on getting this thing apart with trashing it.

take out the screw behind the saddle ring,then take out the screw on top where the wood butt goes into the metal.Then the wood will pull strait out the back.I might then guess you would find a spring in the wrong position.When you push the butt back in the spring should join to the little tit on the trigger assembly.Without seeing it,that is my best guess.

Well I opened this up and couldn't fix it. It's going in the garbage.
In my option this product stinks.
Bought a crossman backpacker, so that's going to the boy.

Very good choice. It is a far better shooter with quite a bit of wallop in .22!
