Ran a whois on redxarms.com and the results were sketchy
Redxarms.com is registered through domains by proxy which means the owner of the company has some reason to hide his/her identity
Double checked whois on other firearms manufacturers and some small local gunshops to see if it was industry standard to be private about identity - it is not.
All legit manufacturers and stores I checked out either had the whois registered to the owner or under the company name (i.e. Magpul Industries, or Remington Arms)
I read the same site and he gave the response...

This is Neil From DCA Inc. Red X Arms. I registered due to the post of Xanatos. We felt it deemed a response. Addressing his concerns and a couple of others. So here we go:
1. DCA Inc. Red X Arms and Blackthorne are not owned/managed by the same people and we are 2 COMPLETELY SEPARATE companies.
2. I am not really sure what a "whois" actually is but RED X Arms is the arms division of Deer Country Archery Inc. Red X Arms is not a corporation or LLC by itself. It is just a copyrighted name. Maybe that is your search problem?
3. Our domain is registered with godaddy.com, no specific reason other than they are a large trusted company that has easy to use software. We had an internal employee make them website, so he is no expert so if there is something "hidden" it was not intentional. We would be more than happy to provide you with any info you need on the company. As a matter of fact call me 320-424-1362 and I'll be glad to address your concerns on the phone.
4. Again the actual company is Deer Country Archery Inc. not Red X Arms just a copyrighted name of DCA Inc.
Also you say avoid like the plague. On what basis do you state this? Have you purchased from us before and are not happy? If so, we have not heard form you, leading me to believe you have never actually purchased from us or used our product, just an individual assuming on price. I would challenge you to buy something and then see what you have to say. We can give better pricing simply because we are not a greedy company. Do you know most of the companies are doubling or tripling their money off of you? We dont find it necessary to charge that much in this economy. We have extremely low overhead and dont have a huge expensive store front. We are internet based but do have a shop for local customers to stop by if needed.
