Redding bushing interchangeability

I’m experimenting with long range based on 8x68s and was hoping to use Redding dies (bushing style) for reloading. I phoned Redding and they agreed to make custom bushing die-set but turns out they do not manufacture bushings suitable for 8x68s (.352-.355). :( I did a quick research and found out that Wilson makes bushings that I need. Problem is that I’ve never used Wilson’s dies and have no idea about sizes of their bushings. Are they interchangeable with Redding? I’ll really appreciate if somebody can measure actual sizes for Wilson’s busing and post it here. I need external diameter and lings of bushing.

Thank you in advance.

The out side diameter to fit in the wilson pocket is .500 bang on I measured 5 out of five, and i think i have redding bushings as well at the same OD

THANK YOU very much!!! Really appreciate it.

What about length for Wilson's bushings? Is it the same as well? Since you have both, can you try to fit Wilson's bushing into Redding die?

Yep it should work the length of the wilson is 0.375 same as redding .375 half of my 22 ppc and 6ppc dies are wilson, and half redding been using them all in the wilson system for years
Redding are bronze the wilsons are stainless, the reddings have a little grove in the middle on the length that does F-All in the redding dies.

Your good to go bud!

You can also turn your necks to fit the brass, but I am sure you know your crapp about this if your asking in regards to wilson and redding bushings.

If you phone sinclair which are great people they will tell you what you need for your neck what bushing for what brass, most the guys their are BR guys and know their ####

Thank you for all your help. You saved me lots of time!
I think that they put that grove just to identify and distinguish their own bushings.

RWS brass is very thick but I don’t want to cut more than I really need to just assure concentricity.

I did phoned Redding but they didn’t want to acknowledge that one can use Wilson’s bushings. But I’ve also noticed that they didn’t deny it too. ;)
For some reason I didn’t think to call Sinclair.

Since you are dealing with 22ppc and 6ppc I want to ask you one more thing. Do you have some noticeable “doughnut” problem? Any issue with speed fluctuation? Have you tried K&M neck turner / doughnut cuter? I’m turning necks with Sinclair NT-3000 cuter but dumb doughnut made me want to buy one from K&M.

I do not have real tight necks at all, so it has never been a problem but what I did was cut onl 80% down the neck leaving lots of space and not that close into the neck.

Than I set my dies up so the neck would oly travel the cut area.

I heard there was a bad lot of brass that seemed to produce the dreaded doughnut
