Been reading and watching info on Redding Competition Shell-holders, in regards to shoulder bump for hunting and competition shooting.
I have been using them since they first come out and the information I have seen is confusing.

Would like to know how many use the press cam-over when setting up your FLR die using the Competition shell-holders.
I don't and I believe it is wrong to do so.

Same response as in other chat but wanted to post it here too ..

I like using cam over, I believe it keeps my stroke more consistent, I usually load 300 rounds at a time, I know if my arm gets sore as long as I feel the pop over centre it’s even pressure every time.

I use cam-over with my Competition Shell holders. But I can see where there might be confusion on the die set up as there are two versions of the instructions.D3BEB9FE-5B3B-49A6-9315-624339F9E264.jpg

Thanks 257Wby.
Exactly what my shell holders are and measure.
Have known this for years.
There are some reloaders on youtube that don't have a clue on what these tools are really doing.
I could not find my instructions but that being said I prefer the dead stop on the die.
Thanks again for the diagrams.

OP,
mic any & ALL Redding shell holders since they vary several thousandths per the same numbering.

for the most consistent shell holders look no further than RCBS.

If a press' ram is not trammed in precisely-cam over for consistency.

If the ram is trammed in correctly-set up dies per your application.
