Hi, a friend of mine have an old (about 15 yrs he said) Redfield 5-Star 3-9x40 scope on his 270. Last year during hunting season, he experienced fogging on the inside. When Redfield sold those scopes a long time ago, they had lifetime warranty.
My question is, anyone know if these older scopes are covered by Korth since they bought the Redfield name?
Thanks!

REDFIELD PRODUCTS MADE BEFORE 2010

When Leupold & Stevens, Inc.® purchased Redfield in April 2008, it did not acquire the capability to repair Redfield products manufactured prior to this purchase. The repair tooling and parts were purchased years ago by other repair services. Leupold & Stevens, Inc. will service its manufactured Redfield product (manufactured from 2010 forward) in accordance with its published warranty.

At this time, should a non-Leupold & Stevens, Inc. Redfield product require service, we suggest contacting Iron Sight, Inc. (918) 445-2001. This contact is provided for information purposes only, as Iron Sight Inc. is not affiliated with Leupold & Stevens Inc. They should be contacted directly for all information regarding repair, service and associated charges.

No.

I guess you got your answer, anyway for myself i did not even know they existed a month ago... JP.

Without getting into the usual mumbo-jumbo about legalities on shipping scopes from/to the USA, will either of these 2 companies accept scopes from Canada and subsequently return them repaired?

I have an old 4x Redfield with a broken reticle, always liked that scope.

EDIT: sent them an e-mail, so we'll see.
