Anyone out there have any experience/knowledge of these. I bought a Williams FP that fits my Winny but it came without the target knobs, which I now have to order from Williams...and of course wait for them to arrive.
Stopped by my gunsmith yesterday to see if he might have target knobs...a long shot, and he pulls out this Redfield receiver sight. Wow...it's looks like a quality sight, has nice target knobs for adjusting, etc.
Any of you guys got one of these units on their rig? What can you tell me about them?
Also, I've got a 26" barrel on the Winnie and I'm wondering if I should put a "hooded sight" on the front, one with interchangeable inserts. I'm going to mainly use the rifle for target at the local club, but also want to use as my backup rifle for hunting. The area I hunt is quite busy, with some cutlines and clearings, but most of the moose I've seen you've got to curve the bullet around a few trees to hit anything, if you know what I mean. Thoughts?
