Has anyone given this scope a try? i know redfield is usually a pretty solid brand i just can't find any reviews online about the scope (that weren't done by redfield lol) or would I be just as safe going with revolution 3-9x50mm or revolution 4-12x40mm

I have one of these scopes. It's not really a modern 'sniper' scope, but it's fine at least out to 300 yd.
Its SFP, and there's no parallax/focus adjustment, but it's rugged and it holds zero.
Manufactured in Beaver Town, OR. "Lifetime Warranted".
I'd like more eye relief, but that's just me.
Reticle is duplex w/ 2 moa grads.
I can see my paper punches at 100 yd, so don't need my spotting scope.\
I'm getting a Sightron III for my Savage 10, and this Redfield will go onto my Savage MkII .22! Maybe 'overkill' on there,
but deadly on far away bunnies.
I've no "issues" w/ this scope. Get the Butler Creek flip-up covers.

I looked though one when I bought my leupold ultralight. For the money, you cant beat the price.
However if you are simply comparing clearness, weight and eye relief. The leupold is miles ahead. I expect that being $400 more.
