Redfield twist lock bases

Looking to mount a leupold vx 2-8x36 scope I have on hand on a
Remington 725 rifle that already has Redfield bases installed.
Will need extended rings and have a pair of Savage rings
also on hand that appear to fit fine. Are their compatibility issues?
I can’t find Redfield extended medium or low rings.

ps the rifle came with gorgeous engraved rings that are
not extended, however. Perhaps an option is to acquire a period
Redfield scope but not sure of scope quality vs Leupold.
