Looking for opinion's
I have acquired a BSA Martini with a damaged barrel and am considering putting in a Redman liner, or possibly a rebarrel. in .17HMR.
I have Martini in .22RF with a liner and it seems just fine, but I am pretty sure it is not a Redman. I am looking for experience with redman liners in any caliber would be helpful.

I think Redman is pretty much the only game around as far as liners that can be got here in Canada.

So, it's that, or live without, and buy a new barrel.

Back in the day when the Martinis were pretty new, Parker would reline barrels that had been damaged by the use of black powder loads, and they had a reputation for shooting as well or better than the factory barrels.
They would stamp around the muzzle the word Parkerifled, over the joint between the liner and the original barrel.

Cheers

I had a smooth-bored (due to stupid English gun laws) Model 12 Martini 22 lined about 35 years ago, and the problem at that time was finding a liner that would finish long enough for the rifle's 28"barrel.
Wilcox Gun Works in BC did the work for me, but I can't remember who the liner maker was. I do remember it took well over a year to find a long enough liner.
