Reduced .223 loads (Unique)

You might also want to try powders between the speed of Unique and Varget, such as Lil'gun or 2400 or 4227. Alliant 2400 is about the speed of Blue Dot and Lil'gun is a bit slower and 4227 about the same as Lil'gun. I believe that H110 (WW296) is not recommended for reduced loads.

Though you will find no paper published data for it there is goto www.jamescalhoon.com and under the articles you will find an article called "to bee or not to bee" or somthing like that.

also on accuratereloading.com a guy there did lots of reduced load testing from 223 to 338wm. Lot of success with 308 based cases, used it on a 243 myself and it worked well.

There are published reduced loads on Hodgon and Winchester IMR powders site, I also like you tested out these reduced loads and then tinkered with them.

You can go as low as 3.4 grain if memory serves me correctly. I did a post about .223 Reduced loads if you want to check out what I did.
