Hey All,

Curious if others have experimented with different mainsprings to adjust the pull weight on the DA stroke? If so, where did you manage to get the springs from in Canada?

Also, I have read about others polishing the contact points on the trigger bar/sear to reduce the DA pull. Any success with this? I am asking because I still have one of my Sig's and ended up purchasing a second after I experimented with the SRT kit. The SRT is the money, but I want to bring down the DA pull if possible as well. Intention is competition so it needs to remain above the minimum 5lbs(?).

Order the kit from Wolff as I did. I bought the 'plastic base' reduced power hammer spring pak. Factory is 21. Kit comes with 17, 18 and 19. I used the 17. No problems with factory ammo.

Thanks. I had seen the packages from Wolff. Wasnt sure if they will ship to Canada and what associated shipping fees would be tacked on.

On a side note, did you find the 17# spring made a considerable improvement over the stock pull?

I used that same pack on my 226 while I still had it. I had to run the 19lb spring for it to be reliable with ALL ammo. The 17lb and 18lb spring were reliable with my favorite load though. All three springs will make a huge difference in the weight and feel of your double action trigger pull. It not only lightens it substantially it smoothed mine out a lot as well, the wolff spring had no stacking whatsoever, just a smooth consistent tension.
