References for RPAL

Do they contact everyones references for interviews? Or just the ones they think might be a risk? I only ask because its been a few weeks since I sent my application in for my RPAL (I already have a PAL) and I'm hoping they dont contact everyones references because that would mean they have not even looked at my application yet. Thanks guys

Rest assured, when applying for the RPAL your references will be called and interviewed. I expect they have yet to process your application to the point of phone calls yet.

Just went through that here in Ont ....It took a 3-4 weeks after mailing in the info and they contacted both my references and then about a week and a half later I got a letter asking me to call them to provide more info.I was transfered to the head Gestapo and answered the questions and now they are sending it to the CFO ......so I am making progress..slow going :(
Soon I will be able to transfer the 2 handguns I bought through a friend of mine a couple months ago and bring them home....:eek:

So if you are in Ont be prepared to wait ....
