references phoning in

I'm sure this has been asked but my search brings too many returns.

Can I get my references to phone in at any time once I see that my application is being processed or do I have to set it up with the first?

My PAL application finally showed up online and this is the message....

"Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date"

Are you applying for an Rpal of just a Pal. Makes a difference. Rpal or Restricted Pal is the only one where they call references.

Anyways, if it's rpal, call in yourself, do the interview and then get your references to use the #you see at the top when you check the status, that's your application number, give it to your references and they can call in. :D
 
Yeahh you should tell them to call in.. I had both of my sisters as my references and one of them called in one day.. Everything went well and an hour later my other sister got called for her interview and within a couple hours my application changed from processing to processed.
