Refinish Scope

This is going to sound like a stupid question, but have you tried Korth?
Leupold used to offer custom finishes on their scope.
No idea if the do it in Canada, but it being a Leupold and Korth being the Warranty and distributors...
My flawed logic fueled by a pork roast dinner.

what you do not bake them? lol

I’m interested to know more!!

Well guys a quick google found that it takes about 5 days for the process to fully cure....
The trade name shows there are lots of options with it and even to the point of using in/on an engine, from exhaust manifolds to cylinder heads and engine blocks.
There is nothing that can not be done with just a little bit of imagination and $$.
I too am curious as to what Leupold and Korth have to say.

you grit blast the scope and coat. i would let it sit for a couple of weeks to cure. rings are hard on the finish. i usually bake if its just metal then reassemble the next day. stands up really well.

Leupold closed their custom shop at the beginning of COVID, mostly due to the physical constraints of the workspace.

We have many parts on hand to replace the exterior of the scope (maintube, objective lock ring, eyeshell, ocular lens, etc.) Send us an email at warranty@korthgroup.com with your serial number and product description for a quote/confirm parts availability. Black Box Customs in Calgary has been a big help with coating a few scopes with a wide array of Cerakote colours.

KGL
