Thanks, and for the wood I used about 10-15 coats of BLO, did one or 2 coats a day depending on if it was dry or not and used steel wool to smooth it out between coats. Then used an exterior grade varathane on the inside of the lower hand guard to keep the wood protected while rinsing out the corrosive salts from the gas system.

I did use a walnut stain on the wood before I started the BLO as well to get the color a little darker and bring up the grain.
