Hi. Ceracoat? A lot depends on your budget, what you're doing with it(not really an issue), you want to do it yourself and the current finish. Hot bluing, parkerizing or industrial hard chrome(isn't like car chrome) work. None of which are DIY finishes. You can't just go to any metal finishing shop any more either.
Why you think you need to is another question. 'I want to' is a reason. Ceracoat isn't a DIY thing either but Duracoat is. Duracoat has DIY kits that aren't stupid expensive. http://www.duracoat-firearm-finishes.com/
