Next on my list is purchasing a tt33. I'd like to return the finish to "like new" condition. I was wondering what would be best. Bluing or something else? What products or meathods would you recommend? I watched mosinvirus on YouTube. His refinished tt33 is beautiful but he doesn't go in to the finishing meathods he used

Sometimes may not be required. I got a beautiful 1940 tt33 on the site here from wimijack(sp) all matching including magazine. I oiled it up with g96 after a little degreaser and water rinse. Blueing is excellent such that whoever held it took very good care of it and rarely fired it.

Unless you are saving a large sum just buy a nice one.

I have a post war Russian and it's beautiful as it is, no need to refinish it. If you look for one in great shape you should be able to avoid doing anything to one and just enjoy shooting it.
