Hi there folks I have a good older shotgun that I would like to have refinished
would any one know where I might take this gun.
I live in Quebec but could ship it to the right shop
thanks
Doug

How old is the shotgun? Is it a Damascus barrel or is it anything that is particularly rare or valuable? Many old shotguns aren't worth the effort or cost. Conventional hot bluing can attack the soft solder joints that hold the double barrels and ribs together, so other methods need to be used.

And some old guns should not be restored.
My father bought a J.Manton shotgun that someone sand papered all the browning off of believing it to be rust....which technically it is but its supposed to be there. Any how, gun was bought cheap for cowboy action simply because of the bubba restoration job.....its on my list of things to rectify
Another gun he has had been refinished quite expertly....but the gun is still less valuable than if it had 50% of its original finishes.
Yet a 3rd gun cost him more to restore than its blue book value.
Your query is vague and in guns, its al about the details.
