Reflex sight for 12gauge

Hi all,

I've been looking to add a reflex sight to my 12g maverick 88 and I've been finding a ton of conflicting results.

I'm hoping to find something $200 or less that can hold up to the recoil, if there is such thing.

Some of these optics are crazy expensive!

If anyone can help with their experience I would appreciate it.

The Maverick 88 does not have a drilled and tapped receiver for a rail to be mounted, or a mounting plate cut out for optics. One of those two things would have to be done before you can mount any optic. If its a reflex sight you want, perhaps a Vortex Venom or Sightmark Mini if you want to keep the cost down. Anything under $200 (like Firefield) might not provide lasting performance on a 12ga shotgun.
