I know quite a few people hone shotgun chambers with very fine grit sandpaper, a wooded dowel to attach it to, and a drill. Should work on a smaller scale.

An old trick is to use a slotted jag, a section of cleaning rod and some very fine (400-600grit) paper/cloth. Fold cloth/paper over to give it some body, then into a section small enough to fit thru the slot on the jag(making a sort of "T") with enough length to loosely wrap around the jag and fit loosely in the cylinder. A few spins of the jag, and voila. I have used it on a drill press with great success but a hand drill at lower speed would most likely be just dandy as well. Just make sure it contacts lightly with the walls and take your time until you see how it works. A tighter fit means faster removal but may be too agressive.

Brownells sells a product called Flex Hone. It has 100's of little abrasive balls on a metal rod that goes into a drill. Then using honing oil you spin it in the chamber & it smooths out the metal. They come in different sizes.
Used one to clean up a friend's 38 cylinder. Worked great.
The wooden dowel & sandpaper is also a good idea.

Its an old bulldog - engraved...chambered in 442. It was kinda stiff when i got it. double action worked but single action would only work if you held your breath the right way...after some adjustments it works fine in both SA and DA. Ive got some 44spl and mag cases (which chamber - but tight) A light load with filler in the 44 spl case should do nicely...I want the 44 colt cases just for sh#ts and giggles.
I think i might try the sand paper method suggested to clean up the cylinder bores a bit...get those 44 cases sliding in a little smoother.
