Refurb mark or not?

Is anyone certain that this hexagon shape with a cross in it is a refurb mark?

I have a 1957 SKS with a laminate dark red stock which normally indicates a none refurb but it has this stamped on it. (All other signs point to a none refurb as well, original bluing, everything stamped, goldish bayonet)

I may be mistaken. It might be a refurb stock. No other refurb marks on the gun and all other original parts stamped or pencilled with the serial number though.
But the stock does look brown in parts.

But this side looks red. Could just be all the cosmoline on it though

If no one knows what that mark is I guess my question is does the stock look like an original reddish stock or a refurbed stock?
I don't have another laminate stock to compare it to

Honestly need more pics of rifle but thinking refurb for sure. On the buttstock like that, refurb. Near crossbolt you usually see acceptance/proof marks on originals. I think it's a refurbished , maybe light but a refurb.

That's what I'm thinkin, a light refurb. Looks like it's just a refurbished stock and they didn't touch anything else on it

I came across the list of symbols long ago but I was able to find it again. It looks like a refurb mark as noted in the following page: http://www.yooperj.com/SKS-31.htm

I've seen that but that's the only thing that is telling me it's a refurb. I've never seen that symbol actually stamped on an SKS and I know we don't know everything about these guns so I was looking for a second opinion.

I don't see the inspection stamp on the left side of the butt, they can be faint though. I'd need pics of the crossbolt areas to have a better idea. Is it a letter gun? Only the letter guns could have had original laminates.

Edit - I see the star now so it is a letter gun

Looks like a 1827th ABV KMD refurb stamp. Unusual to see that type of refurb mark, the most common one you see is a square with a line through it, which is 1st Grau Aresnal.
