Refurbished Mosins being sold as UNISSUED/UNFIRED/NEVER ISSUED @ Rangeview AVOID!!

Good info. Glad guys like you are here to help. Are the Mosin semin bayonet recently selling for $900 unissued, unrefurbished? They seem to be from the descriptions, plus they are priced at a premium.

Most Semins I saw were reblued and stock covered with extra layer of laquer, at the same time most of them retained original parts and had so signs of service whatsoever. Few had stocks in original condition and other few retained original bluing of metal parts.. Also some had replaced and force matched parts. So "light refurb" is commonly used to describe Semins condition. I think I saw one that I would say was definitely issued or used. That was an exception.
Here's some observations posted about those Semins: https://forums.gunboards.com/showth...0-with-Semin-Bayonet-protoype&highlight=Semin

Hahaha.... Indeed I never understood the hate for Trump....since 2016 all my investments in the stock market are doing crazy well....I might just be able to retire early.

We are actually looking to buy a house down there because the Trumpster is in charge. Wouldn't have even considered it if Hillarity had won, or if they were feeling the Bern. We didn't even want to visit when Obama was pushing his anti-police agenda down there. Just waiting for their dollar to slip a bit....damn President making the economy all good and everything, *tsk*.

TRUMP 2020!!!!

All this could have been avoided if the things had been described as 'Unissued since being refurbished".

I think both the selling dealer and the purchasers can learn from my late great friend BUFFDOG in regaurds to this situation!

He'd always say to me "BUY THE RIFLE NOT THE DAMN STORY!!"

Since he tought me that I've never been burned and look at each gun i buy more objectively before I plunk down cash.

I heard about this add and right away my BS meter was on high. A crate of unissued mosins to me would all have the same dates. They'd also be more money and lastly I would expect a larger more in the know dealer would have them for sale..

These guys should own their mistake, offer complete or partial refunds and move on. If they unknowingly misrepresented these rifles as they aren't in the know about milsurps then they should look at the lost revenue as a cheap learning experience.

If they misrepresented them on purpose then shame on them.

Based souly on their response to this matter I think we can all draw a conclusion as to which it was.

Buyer beware, do your research. I'm not defending the seller one bit but to think you are getting an unissued mosin? Have I got a deal for you....

Seeing the same thing on the EE. Its far more rampant in the States though. They like things to be clean and shiny down there so typically these "mint, original" milsurps have simply been refinished. Most people don't seem to know....or care :(
