Reg question..

hey guys...

sorry if this has been asked before, I'm at work and time is limited
hope too this is the right place to ask

picking up the SW M&P15 II in 16"
would like to pick up a couple of complete extra uppers in say 20/10.5/7.5 just to have
so question is...is the lower registered or the upper or both?? just wondering on what the paper toting around is going to be like...or if I'm just better off getting entirely unique "complete" rifles??

Lower is the part that needs to be registered, I have a mix of uppers and lowers, I ended up registering the lowers with the shortest upper.

Someone will tell you register as lower only and be done with, but I wouldn't take that chance,

so, if I was going to get a shortest of say 10", but still have longer uppers I should register my lower with the 10" and I should never have to worry
