Hello,

I was wondering if there are any places in/near Regina for this type of shooting? What sort of requirements do you usually need? ie, do you need to join a club, or can you just try it out, etc.

Also, what exactly is the difference, between skeet/trap?

Thanks,

Ryan

The Regina club has moved to north of the city, not sure where yet! Trap and skeet both use the same clay birds but Trap is shot at rising birds coming out of a machine ina small"house" and going away from you, but random in angles, it usually requires an improved modified or full choke, and is usually shot with 12 Ga....skeet uses 2 "houses" and you shoot it from 8 stations at known angles and usually requires a more open choke! Check with a gunshop in Regina on Loc. of new club, no problem joining just show up with a gun and some money for birds! To bad you aren't closer to Prince Albert as I would take you out to our club and you could try both!!

The Regina Gun club is about 2 miles north of the heavy oil upgrader and 2 miles east of the IPSCO Armor Road-Highway 6 intersection. Drive on out there on Tuesdays or Thursdays or leave a message on their answering machine.
