Registered as a frame only.Whats the deal?

So I have a receiver only coming in the mail.Whats the scoop once I put the barrel on it? The lady at CFC stated when I told her I was going to put my 14 inch barrel on it, I would have to phone and get it re registered9She actually stated any barrel as i was just buying the receiver. So whats the scoop? I thought once it was registered and it is capable of being a combo shotgun there was no problem.
Also what happened to the post with the FRT #'s on short barrel shotguns thast used to be here?It was great info for us newbie shotgun owners.Thanks for your time.Jim

I don't call the CFC and tell them every time I switch barrels on my 870 combo, but since you have no-barrel receiver coming, you are making a significant "permanent" change to the firearm by putting a barrel on it and actually making it operable, so the registration wants to be updated.
