Registration question

Hey guys,

I just bought a new handgun and on the off chance my ATT does come in in the next 2 days I would like to shoot it this long weekend. I have not yet been sent the registration card, if I call the CFC will they email me a temporary registration or something? I am just looking for a way to legally use it while waiting for official card to come in the mail.

Any thoughts ?

Depends on the wording of your ATT, most of them will require you to possess the registration certificate.

I've never heard of a case of the CFC giving an advance copy of the certificate, though there's no real reason why they couldn't email it to you, but I've never heard of them doing it.

Let me know if you find a way. It bugs me that the number for the reg certificate is on the transfer confirmation but you still have to wait 10 business days for it. Never tried asking for an email copy tho'.

If I hear something about my ATT tomorrow I will call the CFC and ask if its possible I mean the firearm is in my possession so its registered to me I just don't have the official proof at this point.

I understand if I have to wait, I have other handguns I can shoot in the mean time..I just wanted to see if it was possible if anyone else had done it. Better safe than sorry, right?
