I just recently started reloading 10 and 12 gauge steel shotshell with some success ... iam wondering if i were to use lead instead of steel would i have to change the type or amount of powder ?? any help would be appreciated . Thanks

Absolutely, use only data for lead shot reloading from a reliable source such as the powder manufacturer. Steel shot reloading calls for very different wads, powders, etc. Wads for reloading lead shot have much less volume and a cushioning section on the bottom. Hogdon and Alliant (and others) will have plenty of data on their website and you should use the same primers, wads, amount of powder, type of powder, etc. These tested loads also will fill the hull properly and allow a proper crimp.
