Release agent

Hello, does anybody know a good "homemade" release agent for fiberglass to steel? I'm looking for a bedding type application but different. I heard "pam" works. Any info would be appreciated. Pete

This stuff will work excellent, degrease then spray on, metal is ready

Buy some "release agent" available from many supplers. PAM is for eggs. PM me a I will give you supplier info.

KBC sells an expoxy mold release in an arresol can that works great. Around 8$.

Johnson's Paste Wax works well and is cheaper than car wax.

A friends father is a boat builder and that is what he suggested to me, I have never had any problems using it.

I've used PAM on STEE BED and ACCRA GLASS and it woks fantastic

Pam has always worked for my bedding projects too......I use a teflon frying pan for eggs BTW

Johnson's Paste Wax works well and is cheaper than car wax.

I've used that stuff several times with great results.

I use Synlube 531 for bedding. It is available from Composites Canada in ON. The wax base mold release that KBC etc. sells is probably fine but I buy the stuff by the gallon. There are lots of things that may work, or not, but I don't have time to fiddle around testing cooking sprays etc. I need it to work the same everyday and everytime since this is my living.

A good coat of neutral shoe polish works like a charm! And then you can shine your boots while you wait for the epoxy to dry

I have used Johnson's Paste wax for the paste 30 years and still have the same can.

Never had a job stuck, or even too difficult to get out.

I use a thin coat of aircraft grease it works great since it does not pool or run like pan.

I'm also for Johnson's Paste Wax. You can buy it from Safeway and will not be able to use it all up in a lifetime of bedding projects.
