release trigger

Looking for a release trigger for my Remington 870. Been looking on the net for aused one - not even sure who makes or used to make them. Any info on these odd units?

The release trigger has fascinated me since I tried one on a trap gun.

Would it be possible to convert a model 700 trigger to a release type, for target shooting only, of course.

Timney made a drop in release trigger for the 870. There aren't many in Canada that I've seen although posting on the Exchange forum might scare one up. They can be found for sale at the larger clay shoots in the U.S. but you are then faced with the paperwork of importing one.

Release triggers are IMO a very specialized piece of equipment and while I like them I don't own one. If I did it would be because I had developed a serious flinch AND was only going to shoot ATA trap and nothing but trap.

Because I shoot other games and hunt I prefer to stick with a pull trigger.
