I am interested in buying a decent air pistol to practice in back yard when not at the range. Suggestions of where to buy and what kind would be appreciated.
 
I love my .22 webley Alecto (heroarmysurplus.com has better prices on alectos). I also have a Weihrauch HW45 black star, great gun - tricky to learn because its a springer. If you like the look of that but easier to shoot, check out the hw75. Same pumping action as the Alecto.
 
If you can justify the money, and you want a good quality accurate pistol, D&L have the Baikal IZH 446M and the Tau 7. Both well built steel pistols with great triggers and more accurate than most shooters. Yes they are expensive, but they are well worth the money.

I recently puchased a Crosman 2240 from Specialty shooting sports for $55.00. They are very simply designed, accurate and there are lots of custom parts available for them. I ordered one from Scopes and Ammo a couple years ago and found his shipping costs to be higher even though I live in the same province and he charges $4.00 more for the same gun. I spoke with someone from specialty on the phone when making my order and they were very polite and made sure that the order was correct before shipping.
