hey, wondering if the load data in manuals indicated for lever action 45-70s would be safe to use in the cva scout? looking at shooting 405/420 gn cast with unique or 5744. not a particularly high pressure load but want to make sure. thanks
Should be safe for all loads on 45-70. They chamber it in multiple calibers that are high pressure. I dont see why it would be an issue. Contact CVA directly to see.

They're chambered in 35 Whelen. I wouldn't worry about anything that's safe in a lever action, probably wouldn't go past that into Ruger No1 loads though.
