Has anybody got any reloader 25 in stock or does anybody have a handle on when some might be coming in? Everywhere I've talked to has none and can't give any kind of assumption on when it's coming in. I don't have much left and if none is going to come in I'll have to switch powders.

Alliant has said shipments to Canada might resume sometime late 2015 or early 2016 at the earliest. Once it starts coming in it'll get snapped up really quick for at least a few months just like Hodgdon and IMR rifle powder is now.
There is a laundry list of "reasons" it's no longer available from rumours and hearsay to some pretty far fetched stories. Most seem to say their export permit expired and they're having issues getting a new one.
There are still small shipments getting into Canada somehow based on rumours. I wonder if this isn't old stock found in the back of some warehouse somewhere.

Personally, I'd be surprised if Alliant was a regular stock item on shelves any sooner than 18-24 months from now.

I am still running across small amounts of Alliant powders now and then, but as soon as people find out that a store has it, it's soon gone. Stores that were out are getting some new stock from somewhere, so some must be finding it's way into Canada. I am well stocked up on R-22,R-10X, and R-7, which are the only Alliant powders that I currently use, but it has taken considerable effort to maintain that stock.

That's the worst part, being able to snatch up what comes in before somebody else does lol that's a long wait time thought if they figure that long and I'll be out long before than. That's what I'm worried about though, my #2 is IMR 7828 so I'm going to have to start finding and stocking up on it before everybody buys it out as well

Although some powders are tougher to find than others, pretty much all powders are in short supply these days. If you think that you can beat the rush, you are about a year too late. These days, if you really want powder, you make phone calls and send e-mails all over Canada, and you accept the fact that you will likely have to pay a premium price, as well as shipping to get them.

I don't really mind paying more or paying shipping. Will companies ship powder? I was told by somebody that they wouldn't.
Most retailers will ship powder and there are several retailers in Canada that don't even have retail stores and only sell by mail order. There is an extra hazmat fee that you normally need to pay. This ranges from $25 or so per order to Cabela's who I believe are still charging $150/order hazmat. It can't be shipped by Canada Post so you also need to pay for a "premium" courier service. It all adds up to quite a bit so only larger orders are usually worth it.

That's how they got the powder in the first place, so why wouldn't they ship to their customers? I have had powder shipped to Alberta from as far as Quebec and Nova Scotia, but I certainly didn't do that for a pound or two.

Like other said it's almost a ful time job to beat the bushes and then the shipping can spoil the deal..
You could try some local guys to tied you over for a lb or two but it's a tough go..
