Reloading 223 on a dillon 550b

I've been told that the 550b is finicky with this caliber.
Wife just bought a Axis 223 want to reload on my dillon
Any thoughts.
 
I have done it but I prepped the brass first so I was just priming, charging and putting a bullet in the case, it ran smoothly for me using Winchester 748 ball powder.
 
I have a 550b and reload .223 in three different loads. I use the powder feed for one (for general plinking) and a modified funnel system for doing the other two (running two different tip types with the same Point of Impact so I hand measure these bad boys). I have never had a real problem with either using a competition Dillon 3 die set-up (deprime & size, powder fill & flair, bullet seat & de-flair). The .223 base kit (disc, pins, funnel & flair) comes with size 3 casing retention pins that are a hair loose on the cases and if you try a "speed of blue-blazing hell" reloading method you can damage a case if it hits the powder funnel holding die; but I have seen that problem with other sizes between my friends and myself, including 9mm and .357 Sig...

I have tried quite a few powders and use two different ones now with no problems.

Otherwise, I have thousands of .223 through my 550B...

Good to hear. I just got my 223 conversion kit for my 550B. I too have prepped all my brass ahead of time and have primed everyone, so I'm just dropping powder seating and crimping the bullets. Glad to hear it should run hard and fast.
