Hi all I have just started to reload in general. I have a 25-06 which I am going to reload with 85g nosler balistic tip for varmints. I have been having some problems with the recipe that I found in a mag that had a lot of info on the caliber. I tried it and found that my grouping seemed ok at first but every 3rd shot or so it would go of to one side by about 1-2" making my grouping about 3". I am using IMR4350 with federal primers and 51g of powder. I have tried a couple of diffrent loads 43g 44g 45g all the way to 54g and found nothing that is consistent. I can't remember my overall lenght cause the book I was using is at my buddys place. Can anyone here tell me what kind of recipe they have used with a similar bullet or what I should try? I have 200 rounds of the balistic tip and I don't want to throw them out.

thanks

you should be close I have not tryed the Btips but 90g serria hollow point over 50.8g of imr 4350 and 117g serria spritzer over 49.4g imr 4350 works well in my rem .6 of an inch if i do my part I found .2 of grain of powder makes a big diff in the 25.06 hope it helps and good luck

I have not tried the BTips either, but 87gr TNT behind 59.0gr of H4831 (Win brass, CCI 200 primer) produces 1-hole groups at 100 quite consistently. 75gr Vmax also gets me around .75-1MOA.

These are out of my M70 25-06 in a 24" Gaillard tube.
