I am going to begin reloading for my Tikka T3 lite in .270WSM coming up soon and wanted to hear from anyone who has experience with what they like to eat. I plan to use Barnes Tipped TSX 140gr to see how it likes them, and have read that the Barnes depth often works best at .050 off the lands, anyone able to confirm? Will also consider other high quality hunting bullets if anyone has good suggestions. Really what I was hoping to hear is what other people have found works powder wise, seating depth, etc., would even love any grouping info (and pics) you have. I do have several reloading manuals and know they are a great starting place, but still want to hear everyones ideas. I am not new to reloading but by no means could I put Federal out of business. Thanks in advance everyone.

I have a T-3 in 270 WSM and have found it to be not too picky about what I feed it. Two bullets that have worked well in my rifle have been the 130 TSX and the 140 Nosler AccuBond. Currently I am using the 130 TSX because it shoots a little bit more acccurately on average than the 140 Nosler.

My powder choice was RL 19 because that's what I had on hand. It's maybe a little too fast on the burn chart to be ideal, but the velocity is about 3225 fps with the 130 TSX. I think that better velocity could be obtained with a slower burning powder, but my rifle shot well enough for me not to bother trying something else.

As far as bullet seating depth, the magazine on the T-3 seems to be the limiting factor. My bullets are seated about as far out as they can get to allow them to function properly in the magazine.

Same here for my SakoA7. I loaded 130 TSX and set them .50 from the lands but I would have a single shot:D Basically just set them up to fit in the magazine as well. I am using IMR 4350 but have not had a chance to try the loads...

My reloads woth 140gr Accubonds with Retumbo gives great perforamnce at the range and on big game...elk, moose, bears, deer. I was soo impressed with the Accubonds that I traded the boxes of 140gr TSX for my 270WSM and 180gr TSX's for my 300WM for more Accubonds.

I will be trying the 225gr TTSX's in my 338-06AI after I try 225gr Accubonds.
