this is my first attempt at loading 410 000 buck. 4 pellets of hornady
000 buck, .350 od and 4 of them weigh a smidgen over 250 gr. i used
5 gr of unique to start with. mild load. will work up 7 gr. the brass
shells are 444 marlin.

here u see the glue stick that i used to glue 2 thickness of computer
paper box cardboard. that gives me .044 thou wads over the buckshot.
i glued the wads with weldbond.

here is 5 gr of unique results at 18 yds. 8 inch group and 1 pellet came
through, another almost. 6 or 7 gr will be deadly. u copy this at your own
risk.

Awesome - thanks for sharing your success!

I have loaded 5 pellets of 000 buck in the past with great results.

The load I used worked great on coons. If I recall, I had to add some lead shot (probably #6) to make up some weight. It worked great as a buffer and I'm sure added some sting to the package!

Have fun - and be careful!!!

jbunny,
What is the length of the .444 marlin casings that you are using??
Thanks!

they are standered 444 marlin, 2.225 inch. 000 buck is bigger than 00 buck
4 pellets of 000 buck fits perfectly in the shot cup. i'm worked up to
7.5 gr of unique. i use 7.5 gr of unique in the 45 colt with 2 .440 dia
soft lead muzzle loader ball, held in place with weldbond glue.
