Would anyone know of a good book/site/load for reloading .45 acp with some 250 grain cast lead bullets? My reloading manual stops at 230 grain jacketed and I wanted to find a book or site with more extensive data.

There is info on the Brian Enos forum about guys using 250gr cast intended for 45colt in their 45 acp for bowling pin shooting.

I posted the same question here about a month ago with no replies. Google is your friend and as suggested, look for pin shooting loads. It seems that the Lee 250 grain cast is a favourite as it feeds well while others report good success with swc shapes. Powder charges are all over the map! Be careful. I'm considering trying 5.0 grains Unique and working from there. One of the older Speer manuals reported loads for their 260 bullet so data is out there. Others are posting .45 super data that is high pressure. Good luck.

I've loaded a handful of 255 SWC with 4.5gr of W-231 which functioned fine in my stock Trojan and resulted in about 690fps and major PF. I've loaded many 230 RN with 4.9gr W-231 (Hodgdon max is 5.3gr) which also makes major PF. Both loaded in Fed NT cases with WSP primers. My next step is to try a faster powder for a cleaner and more complete burn.
