I've just started reloading for 6.5 prc, before this I've reloaded 6.5CM and 45-70.

Hope that photo comes through, I was doing a 10 shot ladder test.
According to hornady 54.7gr is max charge for the 142gr eldx. I think I found a flat spot in the velocity around 54.7 and 54.9gr of h4831sc.
53.1gr = 2846 fps
53.3gr = 2906 fps
53.5gr = 2903 fps
53.7gr = 2919 fps
53.9gr = 2930 fps
54.1gr = 2953 fps
54.3gr = 2972 fps
54.5gr = 2979 fps
54.7gr = 2982 fps
54.9gr = 2983 fps

Didn't have any pressure signs, has anyone tried any higher or does anyone have quickload?

I also tested some 120gr gmx bullets, again no pressure signs.
52.1gr = 3016 fps
52.3gr = 3059 fps
52.5gr = 3045 fps

Again not sure of the pressure levels, I think I can push then a bit harder if I have to. Right now if I send the 143gr eldx around 2980fps and hopefully the 120gr gmx at about 3030fps or so (52.2gr) point of impact should be pretty close out to 300 yards.

All that being said I'd like to bush both a bit faster with the H4831sc since I don't have and can't find H1000 or RL26.

If anyone could give me an idea about what pressure I'm at or if anyones gone higher with this powder that would be cool.

Looks to me like you have a nice wide flat spot at 54.5-54.9. Setting up in the middle of that is likely where you will end up with 4831, reaching the next node is likely out of reach if you are at book max loads already. Did you shoot the ladder on paper as well as chrono?

What was you bolt lift like? Case head have brass swipes on it? Primers flat? Quickload gives a great start point for loads, but really only you can tell when you have hit the top end for loads.

Didn't shoot it on paper, just over the chrono
Bolt lift was fine, primers aren't flattened, no extractor marks.
I'll post some more when I get out next to shoot on some paper. Guess I should be happy with that powder being in the high 2900's I was thinking I might only get like 2940 or so.

I am just starting to load for this caliber, and have been reading about all the loads guys are working up with different powders.
If 4831 is what you have, you're on the right track. However, it seems internet folklore says the most efficient/popular powders are R26, VV565, and H1000. Those powders in that caliber are pretty impressive, reading that some guys are ripping the new 156 Berger at well over 3000, 140's at 3200+, with excellent accuracy....24-26" barrels.
I am still under copious amounts of snow, but will report back when the shooting starts.

Im trying to find h1000 and RE26, so far no luck but when i can finally get h1000 I'll be pumped

H4831 will not give very good velocity. If you're pushing over 3000 fps with a 143gr, it'll be coming at the expense of high pressure

I have loaded 54.5grs H4831sc under the 142gr Nosler ABLR, it did 2905 fps from a 24" Christensen Arms Mesa

I have been doing a ladder test as well and have yet to see pressure signs. I’m running rl26 up to 58gr. 143gr eldx. I am going back tomorrow to try and finish but I find you can go well over what the books are saying and found a good node at 3100fps. Not saying I recommend it but that’s what I found. Quick load is saying 58.8 is max for rl26.
