I know it is cheap ammo but I am pretty sure there is someone somewhere reloading it. I heard most tokarev ammo is berdan-primed and its my first question - what primers should I use for those and how re-priming is done on those ones? Anything special? I am not reloading yet ( things are coming in the mail for my 45ACP) and not even sure what are right questions.

308 bullets - are they suitable for reloading tokarev ammo? Is there source of aftermarket commercial tokarev brass for reloading?

Where can I buy dies for this round?

Thanx beforehand

forget all about re-priming berdans - they're a different diameter and require special equipment- as to brass, bullets , etc- standard small pistol or mag, lee ( and probably others make dies, but being bottleneck cases, you have to lube and they're steel) but i can't speak to brass and bullets- i've got the 9mm tube in mine, and that's what i use- as to cheap, the reason is it IS BERDAN PRIMED, AND RUSSIAN OR CHINESE SURPLUS- THE IMPORTERS KNOW FULL WELL THE BRASS IS USELESS for reloading

I think what you want to do is star by buying and shooting comercial ammo that is boxer primed and brass cased. For 7.62x25 tokarev Iam going to buy some for my tokarev it is about $20 for a box of fifty. Then when I have enough I'll start reloading

Lee dies from higgison powders. .308 bullets 100 gr. and under work well. I cast up 85 gr. slugs for the 7.62x25 and they shoot quite well. Because of the short thin neck they are a bit of a pain to seat projectile. Buy some factory rounds for brass. All in all the milsurp stuff is the way to go.
